Lessons to be Learned

Joyce Anderson left Birmingham, Alabama, for Los Angeles, California, to pursue her dreams of participating in the Olympics. After missing the opportunity, she gave up on her dream. Instead of going back home and admitting that she failed, she remained in California and did little jobs. When she met Chad Glattimore, things changed. They eventually moved in together and decided to get married. While saving and planning for this wedding, they learned Joyce was pregnant.
Rain Glattimore pretty much grew up without her father. She knew who he was, but there was no relationship between the two. In California, she grew up around her dad's people with little room to do anything. Once Joyce and Rain were in Alabama, it was the complete opposite. Rainee was the typical teenage girl trying to fit in with her peers. One thing led to another and she found herself in a rather difficult situation. Instead of dealing with the problem, she ran. After waking up in a hospital, she then accepted the fact it was okay to stop running. Will this be enough to get her back on track?
"I Found Love at the End of My Rainbow" started out a little slow but picked up gradually. Rain and Joyce were very relatable characters. You felt their emotions. Just when you thought things were going good, you were hit with a fiasco. I appreciate how Rainee Grant exposed her past and showed how you can overcome despite all the bad you've been through. She exhibited qualities she later acknowledged were learned during the bad times. This was definitely a page turner that required readers to think.

I really loved the story I could not stop reading it. I really recommend this book to everyone. This story really encourages to you move foward and find your love at the end of the rainbow.

Insightful Read!

I read this book over the weekend finishing it on a Monday morning. I could've finished it one day if it wasn't for personal obligations. It was very hard to put down once I got into it.
While the events of the story weren't relatable to my own life, I've known many young ladies like the main character, Rain and I felt myself rooting for her and even her mother (although I wanted to reach in the book and shake her mother at times...) At the turn of each page I had an intense desire to know what happened to the characters and if they were actually going to make it through all of their hardships. I feel like I know them. LOL!
